This is the upper mounting point for the fuel tank. Note the quality flexible conduit. 
Here can be seen the brake fluid resevoir, missing it's cap unfortunately. 
A change of pace, I started removing the internal components and here can be seen the original white colour. Doing a complete strip down and rebuild is very much like an archaeological dig in that a very important task has to be carried out to to trace the various colours found underneath decades of paint and locate the original one. 
Another view, what possessed previous restorers to paint the interior in this dark dull colour remains a mystery. 
OK! now were getting somewhere, take note of the Italian grey/green which appears on the rear of this ammunition container. The question here is would these have been left in this colour or overpainted with the interior white?
